Clinical and personal care at home for older Australians, as a Support at Home Associate Provider.
Private Nursing
Registered Nurse led care at home with no waiting list, from one visit a week to daily.

Step Down and Respite

- Is DVA Community Nursing free for veterans?
- Yes. DVA funds Community Nursing for eligible Gold Card holders, and for White Card holders for accepted conditions, so there is no cost to the veteran. We confirm funding before visits start.
- Who can refer a veteran for DVA Community Nursing?
- A GP, a treating doctor in hospital, a hospital discharge planner or a community nurse practitioner. Send the referral to referrals@abchs.com.au or call 02 9387 3030, and we respond within 24 to 48 hours.
- Can you help my parent stay at home instead of moving into a nursing home?
- Often, yes. With the right nursing, personal care and help around the house, many people stay safely at home for much longer. A Registered Nurse visits, works out what is needed and builds a plan, funded through Support at Home, DVA or privately.
- How do I get Support at Home in NSW?
- Call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to arrange an assessment. Once you are approved, ask for ABC Homes N Services as your provider and we arrange the rest with you.
- Can I switch to ABC Homes N Services from another provider?
- Yes. For Support at Home, your funding moves with you and there are no exit fees. For DVA Community Nursing, your GP sends us a new referral, which we help arrange. Either way, we handle the handover so your care does not stop.
- Can you care for both of us?
- Yes. We care for couples in the one home, under one coordinated plan, with the same team for you both.
- How quickly will you respond?
- Within 24 to 48 hours of your call or referral, whatever your funding.
- Do you offer private nursing, and what does it cost?
- Yes, with no waiting list. After a Registered Nurse assessment you receive a written quote before any care starts, so you know the cost upfront.
- Do you provide care outside New South Wales?
- Yes. We are an approved provider in every state and territory except Tasmania, with local nurses active across six NSW regions. Call us and we confirm how care can start where you live.
