Does NDIS fund transport?
Yes, transport can be funded in your plan either as a specific transport budget or as part of community access funding. Speak to your Support Coordinator to understand how transport is included in your plan.
Can my support worker drive me in their own car?
Support workers can transport participants in their own vehicles where they have appropriate insurance and this is agreed in the service agreement. Contact us to discuss.
Can you help me learn to use public transport?
Yes. Travel training, supporting you to use public transport independently, is an eligible NDIS support and can be delivered as part of your capacity building goals.
What if I need transport to a medical appointment at short notice?
Contact us as early as possible. We do our best to accommodate urgent transport needs within available scheduling.
Is transport to and from work covered by NDIS?
Transport to employment-related activities may be covered under certain plan structures. Speak to your Support Coordinator for advice specific to your plan.
