FAQ Section
What is the difference between Core Supports and Capacity Building?
Core Supports fund your ongoing day-to-day needs. Capacity Building funds supports that develop your independence and skills over time, working towards reducing your need for ongoing support.
Can Capacity Building fund any skill development?
Capacity Building is for skills and activities linked to your disability and NDIS plan goals. The NDIA assesses whether supports are reasonable and necessary.
Does unused Capacity Building funding roll over?
No, unspent Capacity Building funding does not roll over to your next plan in most cases. Using your funding effectively during your plan period is important.
Does Capacity Building include employment support?
Yes, finding and keeping employment is a Capacity Building category. Speak to your Support Coordinator about how your plan is structured.
How is progress tracked?
We document your progress against plan goals and provide information to support your plan review.
